About The Garden Club of St. Louis

Rooted in Tradition, Growing into the Future

We invite you to browse and to learn more about our almost 100 year history in the City of St. Louis. The Garden Club of St. Louis was founded in 1916 and became a member of in the Garden Club of America (GCA) in 1921. Our club was organized to stimulate knowledge and love of gardening and to restore, improve and protect the quality of the environment through educational programs and action in the field of conservation of our natural resources and civic improvements. Our members also share an interest in flower arranging and horticulture. Our club raises funds to support educational, charitable and scientific causes. We are one of 18 garden clubs in Zone XI of the GCA that currently has 200 clubs in its membership.

We hope you will enjoy learning about our history and club activities!
