Borrowing from Lewis Miller’s Flower Flash concept in New York City, The Garden Club of St. Louis members created a floral masterpiece in a trash can outside of Children’s Hospital in June 2020. The goal of a Flower Flash is to “create a positive emotional response through flowers,” according to Miller. Our version certainly brought cheer to local health care workers under stress from working round the clock during the pandemic.
